ACTS Commentary

The ACTS commentary is one example of a current project that illustrates the main focus of the organization.

This 700-page commentary is full of references from the Dead Sea Scrolls, Rabbinics, Josephus, Philo, archeology, geography…of ancient Israel.

The ACTS commentary is ideal for anyone who desires to dig into Scripture and better understand how a Jewish background enlightens Luke’s message.

Recently, a pastor used the commentary to deliver weekly messages on Acts. At the end of the series, Dr. Nunnally was invited to share about the journey of writing such a commentary. In addition, a small group leader used the ACTS commentary to prepare for his weekly small group series on the book of Acts.

Currently, NIHS is working to publish the revised ACTS commentary. This process includes updates and revisions for publication along with the core basics of publication.

Our current plan is to publish this document in both digital and hard copies. More to come on the launch in the fall!

It would be an honor to partner with you to help complete this project and get the ACTS commentary into the hands of those who love to study Scripture.

Dr. Nunnally has labored for years on this mass project and needs help getting it out into the marketplace. As of now, the estimated base cost of this project is $23,000. FUNDS RAISED FOR THIS PROJECT! Thank you friends!

We hope to have the revised edition ready for distribution in 2024.

Bible Intensive Seminars – Teaching from Israel

Bible Intensive Seminars are designed to focus on the Jewish backgrounds of the Bible.

Videos, satellite imagery, ancient texts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, Josephus, Rabbinics, geography and other ancient sources are used in the seminar teaching.

The goal is to dig deep into the words of Jesus and other texts to understand the layers of meaning of the Bible.

We would love to partner with you and schedule a Bible Intensive Seminar at your church. Typically, seminars are held on Saturday, not only for your church but for those in the community who desire to dig deeper in the Word.

NOTE: Our NEW 2024 PROJECT includes videoing Dr. Nunnally expounding on the Word of God in ISRAEL at various Biblical sites. We are ready and need your help to make this a reality. IT HAPPENED! A generous donor funded the video project in April 2024. Over 120 teaching videos were made throughout Israel. Now to the editing aspect of the project…Would you consider helping with the cost of editing these videos?

Youth Hebrew Summer Intensive

YHSI is a fun, in-person, experiential summer intensive designed to teach Modern & Biblical Hebrew to youth in a context that is easily applied to Scripture. In addition, we have added Hebrew for young ones, where recently they learned the song ABBA by Avraham Fried. The Hebrew meaning, correct pronunciation and love for worship were all part of these classes.

Within the first week, students are able to apply their new knowledge of Hebrew to the words of Jesus! A European-style teaching method is used in YHSI to encourage students to continue learning Hebrew on a collegiate level.

We hope to fire-up youth, serve as role-models and help them grasp that the words of Jesus are real, trustworthy and for today!

Planning is underway for a June 2024 YHSI class. Your gracious financial contribution will assist Dr. Nunnally in growing the program, including individual workbooks, charts, flashcards, t-shirts and other individual ancillary helps.
